With over 15 years of experience working with South Florida Law Firms and Miami-Dade Lawyers, attorneys and their staff frequently ask these questions. We hope this may bring you some insight into the litigation graphics creative process and production.
How can I schedule a legal graphics consultation? You can call us at 305-318-9570, text us at 305-318-9570, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment. We will be more than happy to either schedule the meeting at our office located at 11336 NW 15 Street, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33026 or we can can come to your office.
I want to make custom legal graphics for my case, how does this work? First set up a first consultation with one of our litigation team designers/consultants. We will sit down with you and discuss what your options are (3D, boards, electronic). Together, with you and your legal team we will develop a legal graphics strategy that makes sense for your case. Our designers will keep you abreast during their design process, sending you drafts and only finalizing products with your approval.
What documents does the legal graphics team need in order to create any legal graphics project? Depends ... However, here are a list of documents that are usually helpful in any form of case.
* Complaint and Answer
* Medical Records (OR Report, Admission Summary and Discharge Summary)
* MRI, X-Ray, CT Scans - Pre and Post Procedure
* Important Key Documents such as Contracts, Policy and Procedures
* Key Statutes
* Key Cases
* Photographs - Injuries/Scene of Incident
* Incident Report
* Video of Incident/Surveillance
Now each case is different and each attorney has an idea of what they are looking for. According to your needs, we may not need some of the documents above and may need others. But above is a good starting point.
How much do legal graphics cost? Depends. However, if you are on a limited budget please let our designer/consultant know during your first meeting so we can advise the best route to take. The cost of graphics depends on the complexity of the case and the design. Remember the more documents and details you incorporate into a design the more time it will take to create it. APVisuals prides itself in creating compelling trial graphics for small to large cases, simple to complex cases, and cases with small to large budgets.
Should the legal graphics be presented on trial boards or electronically? Our opinion ... you should use both forms of communication. For that recurring item that you want the jury to focus on, a trial board is best. For example, if you have a slip and fall and have a clear image of the floor with the foreign substance on it, that should be a board. It should be somewhere in the Courtroom, viewable to the jurors ALL the time. However, if you are presenting the Plaintiff's medical injuries, doing a multimedia presentation, highlighting certain medical records should be enough. By presenting the legal graphics through different methods, you will help keep the jury involved and entertained.
Does a Trial Graphics Designer help me strategize? You are the attorney and know what you need to prove in Court. However, a Trial Graphics designer can pinpoint:
* Effective designs that have worked in the past for your type of case
* Can suggest different methods to deliver the information to the jury
* Can expose gaps in the evidence and where additional documents need to come in
* Can speak with your expert to ensure what should and should not be illustrated
* Can suggest the best aesthetically and captivating trial graphics
Do you handle rush work? Yes. We prefer to work with sufficient time to give your case the attention it deserves, but we understand that there may be an emergency or urgency with some cases. We meet our deadlines and only charge a rush fee when we have to.
These are just a few of the questions that we have come across working with South Florida attorneys. Of course, should have any other question, please do not hesitate to contact us. If you are headed to trial or mediation, please call us to discuss how we can create legal graphics for your case. We would love to work with you on your next case.
